{NBJ} match cancelled -- Posted by ICECaNNoN on Thursday, April 8 2004
What was to be our first match since the TBG grand final has been cancelled with {NBJ} pulling out. After spending the whole of the week giving us a hard time in servers, accusing *AUS* and in particular Beer Baron and Suicidal Ozzy of cheating and just generally being a nuisance, they backed down from our much awaited match.
*AUS* were bloody thirsty, ready to let it rip as best they could, however {NBJ} Drone informed ICE CaNNoN in a server earlier that the {NBJ} players were all away, and that they didnt want to play us because we were too sus.
Oh, that's too bad isn't it?
*AUS* would like to once again, and hopefully for the last time spell a few things out here.
- Ozzy was accused of using antistropic filtering to allow him to see through bushes etc, this bug was fixed in patch 1.20.
- Beer Baron was accused of having a magical ammobag hack that allowed him to kill people with an ammobag. This nothing more then a in game stuffup caused by lag, it happens by one of two possibilities, either:
- You shoot someone then change to ammobag before the lag has caught up and killed them.
- Or it just happens as a stuffup in VC, you kill someone and it says you ammobaged them, and some times medic pack.
This bug has been around since the demo, and it is no fault of the player, it does not give them any advantage it just makes different writing on the screen.
- *AUS* were accused of cheating as a whole, this is quite rediculous, seeing as we helped to create the anti cheat system in the game today, and we are good friends with the deveopers and help them to test the latest patches. In a previous debate where *AUS* was accused of cheating by another clan (which has been resolved) Erik from Pterodon actually posted on the other teams forum on our behalf. If you need any proof that we actually did help to beta test and to create the cheat protection in VC, have a look in the readme file for the voice command shortcuts, or maybe in the news section of vc where they thank people for testing patches.
Now please, think before you say something stupid, and the VC community will be a better place.
Thanks
ICE CaNNoN
Commander of *AUS* VC
